Conch Shell, Carnelian and Turquoise Necklace
Conch Shell, Carnelian and Turquoise Necklace
From the Earthy Collection.
This natural looking necklace features a large genuine turquoise polished amber carnelian and conch shell focal bead with lapis, turquoise and carnelian inlay. I found the conch shell bead on my travels to Mercer Island, Washington. They are fossilized "Chank" shells (commonly known as conch shells) that have had their crevices filled with a mixture called Gak. Gak is comprised of brass, copper, turquoise, coral and lapis. The amber buri beads are from the root of the buri tree. Small bronze coloured beads are nestled between genuine green turquoise beads, felt beads and two large turquoise beads. The clasp, as well, has two larger beads that are bronze coloured metal. Consider wearing this with another necklace from this collection or the Arizona Collection.
