From the Oceania Collection. This one of a kind necklace features an authentic piece of coral wrapped in gold wire. The coral was found on the shore by a lady who was gathering shells at the seaside. It is illegal to harvest real coral now and this is a very special find since coral can only be available as farmed coral. The genuine dark green turquoise sets off the ivory coloured coral and there are two large turquoise pieces as well as some pale green turquoise beads which all are genuine turquoise. The coin shaped discs from Nepal are brass with turquoise and carnelian inlay. Amber carnelian and also amber coloured buri beads as well as ivory river fossil beads complete this this unique, one of a kind necklace. Buri beads come from the roots of the buri palm tree. The toggle has an antique bronze finish.
